Dear CBO Friend,

With His help, I have kept up with the CBO and the blog-roll. With His help, I was able to maintain the CBO site, the CBO community site, my blog and three support sites for the afore mentioned.

All of these sites are/were Christian based. Christ has been the center of our work. Apparently, there are those who do not appreciate Christian sites.

We have been attacked by hackers again. The first time was to my personal blog. No real damage but it was a mess for a few days. The second attack came in the form of malicious code embedded in one of my support sites. It too was just a pain and no real damage. This last attack was devastating.

This time, they came through the CBO community site. They implanted malicious code into the data base. This code sent malicious e-mails to thousands of addresses all over the world. These letters appeared to have come from… (you guessed it) the CBO, but they did not.

After the mailings went out, this ‘program’ then destroyed itself along with any files in the same data base. Those included my other sites as well as my help sites.

I admit that I may not have been as security savvy as I could have been or should have been, but it is my understanding that these attacks are coming more and more often to those sites that profess to be Christian, Christian centered or Christian based.

I am praying about the next steps. At this time, there are no sites up and running. The Christian Bloggers Online site is gone. What remains is the blog roll and it’s members.

I will try, around making our wedding plans, to get a simple site up and running with the code for the blog-roll and an e-mail address to join.

In closing, I am so sorry that this has happened. I wish it never happened. May God deal with these hackers with a firm but loving hand.
